Located just minutes from Salt Creek Beach, Laguna Beach and Dana Point harbor, Laguna Niguel has many upscale neighborhoods, including Bear Brand Ranch, Ocean Ranch, Coronado Point, South Peak, Crest de Ville, Niguel Coast, Palmilla, and Monarch Point. The Capistrano Unified School District includes seven elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools. There is a private Catholic school serving K-8. Local colleges include Saddleback Community College, Irvine Valley College, The University of California Irvine, and Soka University, a private, four-year liberal arts college. Local hospitals include Mission Hospital, the region’s designated trauma center, one of only three in the county, as well as Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, the only women’s hospital in south Orange County.
